Stephanie Owen, of Elizabeth Cole jewelry, is one of my favorite designers. She has the ability to use jewelry materials and transform them into things from nature such as fish, ram heads, leaves and flowers, while still making them look edgy.   We, Bisoux, currently have the Crystal Fish earrings in the last picture in our inventory which we use for styling purposes. I look forward to adding more of her pieces to the stock!

America's Next Top Model Hawaiian Shoot

I was watching 2009 edition of America’s Next Top Model when I was blown away with the concept of the shoot taken in Hawaii.   After the show I started googling it and was pleased to find photos from the shoot on MidSeasonReplacement.com

During the shoot Tyra combined two ethnicities for the models to portray. Below are my favorite.

First up is Jennifer whose skin is painted darker to transform her into a Botswana and Polynesian woman.

Second is model Brittney, who portrays a Native American and Indian woman. You can’t really tell by the picture, but the dress and the trim around the head-piece has beautiful embroidery.

Nicole represents a woman from Madagascar mixed with Japanese. The straw neck pieces is a nice touch to her kimono.

Fab Find: Thrifted Colorful Triangular Studs

I found these colorful triangular studs at a thrift store in Baltimore, MD, for only $1.99! I wear them all the time to add a touch of color and style to an everyday outfit. Sorry for the picture quality. My camera broke so I’m working with my Black Berry.

I was having a little fun with Picnik.com photo shop :)

Love,

Stephanie

Shayla Cox's Guerilla Fashion Show, Ceramic Jewelry + Spring's Hottest Trends!

Talk about impact!

Could you imagine minding your own business around town then witnessing these girls stampeding towards you? With the sidewalk as their runway, these ladies did their thing rockin’ spring’s hottest trends (nudes, pastels, flowy skirts and 40s inspired menswear), providing the perfect back drop to feature Shayla Cox’s ceramic jewelry. I’m lovin the simplistic approach to her jewelry line, basic lines and shapes but each piece delivers its impact by size, texture and color. I also appreciate that they layer so well together.  Much props to stylist Pamela Shepard for putting these looks together. Frresshhhh!!!!

Photographed by one of my fav’s, Kwesi Abbensetts

…and it looks like they got the June Ambrose stamp of approval! She is so faaaab btw!

check out this video with these girls in action!
